Foundations of Illustrated Art - December 2021

Join Jessica Hatlen in a private immersive group experience where you will work together to learn to creating amazing illustrated art creations!! This Foundations course is open to ALL skill levels, and each level, from beginner to advanced, will learn and benefit from this month with Jessica!

Foundations of Illustrated Art will begin on December 6th and will continue for 4 weeks. Each Tuesday,JYessica will post an instructional video for you to view, with an assignment. Assignments are due the following Friday, and Jessica will choose 5 images from the submissions for critique. Critique videos will be posted on Mondays.

Week 1: December 6 - Fundamentals of the Illustrated Art Technique. Focusing on the tools and techniques needed to achieve the look.e
Week 2: December 13 - Creating portrait images using the Illustrated Art Technique, focusing on working on skin and textures to create a magical Illustrated Portrait.
Week 3: December 20 - Creating a full scene image using the Illustrated Art Technique where you will focus on how to apply the technique evenly to not only the subject but the background as well.
Week 4: December 27 - This week you will take all the tools and techniques learned throughout the month to create our final work of art, you will focus on the storytelling and use of this technique to help build our story.
