Foundations of Editing – October 2020

Join Meg in a private immersive group experience where you will work together to learn the foundations of editing in Photoshop. This Foundations course is open to ALL skill levels, and each level, from beginner to advanced will learn and benefit from this month with Meg!

Foundations of Editing will begin on October 5th and will continue for 4 weeks. Every TUESDAY Meg will introduce a new topic for the week with an editing video that will focus on ONE SINGLE IMAGE. She will also post a Q & A thread in the group where you will be able to ask her questions about the topics for the week. The following MONDAY, Meg will provide a critique video, with TEN chosen images. FIVE will be examples of effective technique, and FIVE will be examples that missed the mark and why. I am NEVER mean, I will NEVER rip an image apart. My main goal is to teach you technique effectiveness. Please note, participation in the group is dependent on group members. Your experience is based on your participation. You get out what you put in. Each week she will assign an assignment to help solidify the concepts you learned each week!

  • Week 1: October 5…………Curves-The most important tool in your toolbox. Both beginner and advanced technique will be covered.
  • Week 2: October 12 ………Tonal Separation – How to separate your subject, background and all the details by use of color separation.
  • Week 3: October 19……….Skin-How to balance skin tones, match them and fix color casts.
  • Week 4: October 26……….Putting it all together – Completing your vision. An edit and discussion surrounding vision and process

You will receive LIFETIME ACCESS to ALL of the Videos in this course.

There is NO requirement that you post images or that you participate in the discussions. You are free to just read the threads and enjoy the videos. We all learn at our own pace and in our own way. You can watch and follow along silently, if that is your preference.

The link to join the group will be available on the course page once you purchase the workshop. You will have to provide your email address AND secret code provided in order to join the private group! You will be approved individually, shortly BEFORE the experience begins.
